Brixton Senior Men will retain a number of players from last season’s Division 2 campaign to push for promotion.
Daniel Dunscombe, Robert ‘AJ’ Gellatly, Robert Odia (pictured), Piero Lusani and Andrew Uithaler will all return from last season’s team. Coach Dave Salisbury is really pleased to hold on to this returning group.
“It’s important to keep players who play hard, play together and know what Brixton Topcats are all about as a club. We have a number of good defensive players amongst this returning group and that’s all about hard work and being committed to your team mates.”
Coach Salisbury is also excited for the upcoming season and optimistic for success.
“We’re really excited about the upcoming season. We feel we’ve got a a good roster with some healthy competition. The attitude and effort in our training sessions has been great and our guys are buying in to what we’re trying to do.”
“We’ve yet to get all of our guys out on the floor in the Patron’s and National Cup competitions but when we do we’ll have a formidable roster. We’ve got great guys who are a privilege to work with and who are committed to playing for their teammates. That’s what we’re going to be about this year, playing hard, playing smart and playing together.”
The D2 Men tip off their NBL Division 2 campaign later this month with a home game against London Westside with a tip off time of 4pm on Sunday 18th October at Brixton Recreation Centre.
More news of future signings will follow shortly.
