The University of East London – SportsDock will be the host ground for a set of England Basketball Finals on Saturday 22 February as the Lady Topcats feature in the second game vs Leeds Carnegie.
The game is the only female match of the day which tips off at 1:15pm. This Division 2 Women’s competition features a pair of teams with perfect league records this season in LSBU Brixton Topcats and Leeds Carnegie, as they both are gunning for Division 1 promotion. Neither has won a Trophy game by less than double figures either so look out for an interesting clash on Saturday.
Head Coach Steve Vear, is excited and confident heading into the finals tomorrow.
“Finals are what all players and coaches want to be apart of. It’s what we all work towards from the start of the season and I cannot fault the team for their dedication and commitment to trusting each other. They deserve to be in the final and I’m confident that if we play at a high level we will come out victorious. Leeds will be our toughest opponent yet so we know we will have to be at our best to win. I’m excited for the team to get out there and show everyone what we are about.”
The Lady Topcats would love your support so please get down to UEL Sports Dock, 4-6 University Way, London E16 2RD. Tickets are priced at £8 per adult and £5 per child which includes all four games (below).
