Topcat Alumni and the most capped England International player in history, Ronnie Baker (pictured middle) was awarded with the Jimmy Rogers Educational Award at the Luol Deng Basketball Camp 2013 this summer.

The award signifies individuals who teach the game of basketball the way Jimmy emphasises, in a professional, passionate and respectful manner. Ronnie has been instrumental in organising the DENG Camp every year as well as giving up his own time to give back to Brixton Topcats basketball club by teaching the grass root development sessions every Wednesday and Friday at Brixton Rec.

We want to thank Ronnie for all of his efforts with the club as well as being such a pivotal role model for the younger generation. We couldn’t think of a better person to receive such a prestigious award and want to thank the Luol Deng Foundation for presenting Ronnie with the award.

Ronnie Baker  is coaching at our community sessions so make sure to get down to Brixton Rec every Wednesday and Friday 6-8pm (£4 per session | £2 for members).
